Week 7 "The End"

Bulldogs (34) - vs- Eagles (14)

This was the last games for JV and Freshman Teams. Freshman team started out the season strong but ended the season weak. I have not seen the same team that I saw in week one. But as the Gators use to say " There is always next Year". Until then we have the varsity team and they are still flying high. To the CH Freshman Team " Thank You ".

Week 6

Peachtree Ridge High School ( 28 ) - vs- Collins Hill High School ( 6 )

What a game! Peachtree ran for a touchdown on the opening kickoff. Ouch! By the end of the first quarter Peachtree was up 21 point. Fumble was the word of the night. Finally in the fourth quarter a Peachtree player bobbled the ball and our star player of the night was able to catch it and score our one and only touchdown. The extra point was blocked. Christopher hopefully will be released by his Doctor at his appointment tomorrow. He then will be able to start practicing with the team and hopefully play in the last game next Thursday.

Week 5

Week 5
South Foryth (6 ) -vs- Collins Hill (0)

Christopher was unable to play due to the concussion. We have had several players out due to injuries this week. Without those injuries we should have won.

Head Trauma

During football practice yesterday, Christopher was hit in the head with a football. He was on the sidelines without a helmet on, when boys behind him where throwing the ball. When I got the call from the team trainer, Chris was able to tell her my name and phone number but had no memory of what happened are the days prior. At the hospital the Doctor said he had a stage 2 concussion. He had a cat scan that was negative of any swelling or bruising. While at the hospital he started having his memory last longer than five minutes. By the time we got home a little after ten he was remembering things that happen the first of the week. This morning he remembered parts of yesterday. He is unable to play any contact sports for at lease a week. We have to see his primary Doctor next week. Please keep him in your prayers. I am so thankful that it was not worse than it could have been. Thank You Jesus for once again taking care of my Baby. Amen

Football is in the blood.

Football is a big part in our family. My first date with my Husband Ken was a football game. So it is not surprising that Chris likes football. Here are a few pictures of Ken and Christopher at the NFL Experience in Atlanta a few days before the Superbowl XXVIII(1994). First Picture is Ken (with hair) with his son looking up at him. I am thankful that Chris still looks up to his Dad. By height Ken only has a few inches before his son will be looking eye to eye. I thought when I took the picture of Chris it would be years before he could fill out that uniform. Not sure of the size on the stand but I bet it is just a few sizes bigger than what he wears now. I guess it has already been years! Over 12 of them.
